Laine Chanteloup2, Thora Herrmann3 and Fabienne Joliet4, this public photography competition aims to create a visual dialogue about landscape. The topic of the photo contest is “What are the places in the fjords around Narsaq and Igaliku that you like to go?”
Who can participate?
Anyone aged from 12 years old, who is a resident of Narsaq region or of fjords surrounding Narsaq and Igaliku is welcome to participate.
Deadline
15 of April 2023, 00:00 CET
Images submitted after the deadline cannot be considered.
How ?
- Submit one photo showcasing your favorite places in the local fjords
- It can be a picture from your album, from your phone, computer, or a picture you specifically did for this contest
- You should be the sole author of your photo and hold the copyrights
- Each submission should include the following information:
- Contact information: your first name and last name
- your age
- A short comment explaining the context of the photo: where and when was the picture taken? Why did you choose this landscape ?
Photo format
- Images should be submitted in their original resolution without modification.
- Images must not have been published or received an award in any other competition.
- Photos in digital or in print format will be accepted, photos can be in black and white or in colors, old or recent
- You can upload your photo on this website, in digital format, as a .jpg file or send it to laine.chanteloup@unil.ch, or you can bring your printed photo to Narsaq
Jury Voting
A local jury will select the winners from all the entries. Official award ceremony will take place on 18 th of April 2023.
Prizes
1st Prize „Best Picture“ – Jury Voting: 3000 KR
2nd Prize – Jury Voting: 2000 KR
3rd Prize – Jury Voting: 1000 KR
1st Prize “Young Talent” – Jury Voting : 1000 KR
All submitted photos will be included in a (Greenlandic- Danish-English) landscape-themed album-book.
