GreenFjord – Atmosphere field observatory is up and running!

Since last week, the Atmosphere cluster has been operating in Narsaq its real-time observatory for aerosols and trace gases, a cloud ceilometer, a tethered balloon carrying lightweight measurement instruments 600 m above the ground, high volume samplers for detailed chemical analysis of aerosols, and three remote weather and aerosol stations on hills and outwash plains nearby. The team has been incredibly lucky with the weather for the setup and now we are “harvesting” lots of interesting data!
