GreenFjord aboard R/V Sanna in SW Greenland
GreenFjord researchers are interested in better understanding the consequences of glacier melt on the circulation and biogeochemistry of SW Greenland fjords. On board the research vessel Sanna (Greenland Institute of Natural Resources), they investigate the cycling of (micro)nutrients, with a particular focus on N and Fe, as well as the processes that contribute to the recycling of particulate organic matter and the production of methane in the water column. Furthermore, researchers are interested in unravelling how these changes affect marine biodiversity using novel eDNA techniques.
