GreenFjord outreach event September 2025

At the end of their 2025 field season, the GreenFjord team will organize a community outreach event in Southwest Greenland. Two events will take place in Narsaq and Qaqortoq with the aim to engage the local community, schools, and anyone interested in the research that has been performed by GreenFjord in the region over the past years.

Narsaq, 6-8 September 2025

Members of the GreenFjord team will organise a community event in Narsaq on the weekend of 6-7 September and Monday 8 September. The event will consist of outdoor activities and short presentations followed by a kaffemik to allow the local community to learn more about the research of the GreenFjord programme.

Qaqartoq, 10-11 September 2025

On 10 and 11 September 2025 members of the GreenFjord team will organise a community event in Qaqartoq. This event will include activities in the community as well as a science conference during which the team will present the research they performed in the area since 2021.
