First field campain to Narsarsuaq and Narsaq

Getting to Greenland is not always easy. After not being able to land at Narsarsuaq at the first attempt, members of the biodiversity, land, human and atmosphere clusters had to return to Denmark and give entering Greenland another try 3 days later. Luckily at the next attempt all went fine and the team of six could travel onwards to Narsaq to get installed at the Narsaq International Research Station (narsaqresearchstation.gl). Lisa from the land cluster could make use of the superb weather to take soil and water samples, while Virginie from the biodiversity cluster familiarized herself with the four harbors of the city to get a ride out onto the ocean for water sampling. Laine and Aurelie started visiting local residents to establish their network for the human cluster work. Lionel and Julia set up their atmospheric instruments at the research station and are obtaining first real-time data. The sampling and data collection for all clusters is the first scoping activity in order to prepare the larger efforts for the coming years.
